For the month of November, Grade 3 prepared a skit to highlight the attribute of being RESPECTFUL. Great job 3A & 3B in working hard to model some real life examples of how to show respect in the classroom!

This was an amazing season for our U12 girls team. We started the year with a small group and had players who had never played before. After our first game we had an increase in our team size and our dedication to the sport grew. As Coaches, Jeremy and I were so proud of the progress, teamwork and effort that these ladies put into our practice and our games. We developed our skills in dribbling, layups and our defense. The U12 girls were an honour to coach and we are thankful for what they accomplished this year. We are proud of our win in the Championships and we are looking forward to our next basketball season. Congratulations on your championship win and keep on striving!

The U12 boys had a very successful season, winning more than half of their games, while playing all grade 5’s and 6’s evenly in a developmental year. Their skills all dramatically improved over the season due to their hard work and effort. The boys narrowly missed making the semi finals in the CMAC tournament, but with plenty of talent in this group, they will definitely be back in the hunt for a medal next year!

Seven middle school and high school students wrote the American Mathematics Competition (AMC10/12). They were not allowed to use their calculators - only their minds! They were all challenged to think outside the box and all had a great time doing it. You have to admire the growth mindset that competitions like this build.
- Ms. Tahitha

After two years with limited basketball competition, the CMIS Under 14 Girls basketball team returned to the court with enthusiasm and courage to win the bronze medal in a comeback victory in the last game of the season. The large squad was a ton of fun to coach, and the increase in skill level from the start to the end of the season was significant. The future is bright for these young basketball stars!
- Coach Jeremy

The U14 boys basketball team capped off an impressive basketball run by going undefeated and winning the CMAC championship. During their journey, the boys learned how teamwork can elevate a team as a whole, and it was a team effort in a long 5 game day that eventually put them over the top. With loads of talent, these boys are sure to be heard from again. Congratulations on a perfect season!
