A big congratulations to Mr. Cameron for being nominated for the NHD South Asia Teacher of the Year award!

Songkran is the traditional Thai New Year. The word Songkran is derived from Sanksrit and means to move or step forward. Songkran runs from the 13th of April to the 15th of April.

During this three day celebration, which is marked by merit making, brightly colored paper Tung are used to decorate the sand chedis at the temple throughout the north.

This year, students in High School learned how to make “Tung Sai Moo” - a colorful flag made of colored paper. It is very popular among people in the north of Thailand. All students enjoyed making Tung in class this week.

CMIS High School students in Drawing & Painting and Studio Art class create artwork based on the conflict in Ukraine. Students were asked to create works of art while studying via MLP. Students expressed their thoughts and feelings toward the crisis with an emphasis on design. Students were allowed to use any media that was available to them at home to complete their artwork.

NHS students had a lot of fun and games planned for their retreat that was in line with the 4 pillars that the NHS stands for - Leadership, Scholarship, Service and Character!

The Student Council would like to announce that next week, starting Monday (April 25th), there will be a school wide spirit week. As listed in the poster, Monday will be Decorate Your Mask day, Tuesday will be National Flag day, Wednesday will be International day, Thursday will be Old Fashion day, and Friday will be Sports Player/Team day. Prizes will be given to the top 3 dressers of each day determined by voting via google forms. The links to the forms will be sent out each day for the day's dress code. Teachers and staff are encouraged to participate as well! We look forward to your participation and amazing outfits!
