Last weekend, the robotics ASA, led by Ms. Keli and Mr. Brandon took three groups of students to compete in the final qualifying competition at Lanna International School. The three CMIS teams competed against five other teams from LIS and Chiang Rai International School and ended up winning the coveted Team Competition Award(s). Two teams will now represent CMIS at the National VEX Competition in Bangkok on February 3rd. The two competing teams will now compete against thirty-eight other middle school teams in the categories of Alliance Matches, Skills Match, and Autonomous Driving.

A team of professors from Srinakharinwirot University and the University of Nottingham recently conducted a presentation at Chiang Mai International School. The presentation focused on the joint program offered by the Faculty of Medicine, targeting students with an interest in pursuing a career in medicine. The session likely covered key aspects such as program structure, admission requirements, curriculum details, faculty expertise, and the potential advantages of participating in this collaborative medical education program.

A stellar Grade 12 student from the Class of 2024 at CMIS has just secured early admission acceptance from Dartmouth College, an esteemed Ivy League institution!

The CMIS Academic Counseling Team extended a warm welcome to all for an exclusive talk by Phoom, where he shared his incredible journey and insights into the college application process.

During the session, Phoom delved into various topics, including his meticulous college search, the reasons behind choosing Dartmouth, and a comprehensive overview of his senior year timeline. He shed light on standardized tests, and recommended activities, and provided valuable tips on crafting personal statements and supplement essays. Phoom also unveiled the details of his CommonApp submissions, offering a unique perspective on the application process.
