Course Description

Grade 6 students will be introduced to the fundamentals of theatrical performance, including but not limited to; improvisation, movement, and character development. Students will work individually and as a group to learn their way around the theatre and gain an understanding of how dramatic skills can be useful outside the performing arts. The course also includes an introduction to voice studies and a beginner’s look at the anatomy of speech. Students will take one semester of Speech and Drama and one semester of Grade 6 Art.
