A CMIS grade 9 student participated in the medical workshop held by St.George's University at the Anantara Hotel Chiang Mai on 27 November 2023.
.
St. George’s University – School of Medicine sponsored a Medical Workshop “First Aid & AED” which was run by Emergency Medical Technicians for students who are interested in medicine. First Aid and AED provides basic knowledge for students who want to become doctors in the future. Having knowledge of first aid and CPR can save lives. If your child or loved one isn't breathing, knowing how to do CPR can mean the difference between life and death. Emergencies can strike at any time, and it may take several minutes before help arrives. This workshop was very beneficial for all students who participated.

On Wednesday, 30 November, the MS and HS Students took advantage of our great weather and participated in a Sports Day where they competed in team and individual events by grade levels, as well as some non-competitive activities throughout the morning. The Sports Day was capped off with the tug-o-war, where the HS Champions were Grade 12! Games include Omnikin, dodgeball, a basketball shootout competition, a soccer shootout competition, badminton and corn hole bean bag toss. Thanks to all of the faculty and students for making the day a fun and exciting day outside before the end of semester rolls up on us!

The Junior Track & Field team competed in the CMAC competition at PREM on Wednesday, December 7th. Despite a hot day in the sun, students ran fast, jumped high, and threw far, achieving their personal bests. We had Mia and Yoyo from Grade 2 place in their age group and the team received about 10 medals for individual events! Even though the season was short, we can't wait to have everyone back on the team next year! Special shoutout to Coach Ruby (Grade 11) and Coach Chris (Grade 12) for making sure our younger students were ready for the day!

The Junior Varsity girls had a great season. Despite suffering season-ending injuries to key players midway through the season, the girls did exceptionally well. A mixture of skill and a strong team bond was the driving force behind the team’s progress. The highlight of the year was finishing runner-up in the Prem Invitational. The girls again represented the school with great pride in CMAC, narrowly losing out to the eventual winners. On behalf of the coaches, the girls were a pleasure to help and surely have a great future ahead of them.
