Last Monday night I found myself in front of the Kad Theater, wishing I wasn’t there. I had tickets to a performance by a visiting troupe from Beijing University, but I wasn’t expecting very much. I thought I was in for a mediocre gig by some college kids trying to prove their skills to themselves, but I was in for a pleasant surprise.
