Biography
I am originally from San Marino, California. I graduated from Biola University with a degree in Cross-Cultural Youth Ministry, then traveled to Korea to work as a teacher. During that time I earned a Masters of Education degree from Columbia International University in the area of Curriculum and Instruction. I have served as an elementary classroom teacher in grades 3-6, a Music and Art specials teacher, taught elementary technology, worked with resource students, and served as Lead Teacher and Curriculum Coordinator of schools in Korea. I was on the board of the Korea Council of Overseas Schools for 8 years. I have spent 17 years working in international schools in Asia. My hobbies include music, reading, and playing on the computer. I earned a black belt in Tae Kwon Do during my time in Korea.
I am happily married to our school's Athletic Director, Mr. Mike Hill, whom I met while teaching in Korea. We have three elementary aged children: Hannah – Grade 6, Barry – Grade 4, and Caleb - Grade 1. They are very happy to be “home” in Thailand and have brought along their dog, Zippy. They look forward to many years at CMIS!
