On February 25th, the Interact Club went on an exciting day trip to ศูนย์การเรียนรู้ชุมชนชาวไทยภูเขา”แม่ฟ้าหลวง” on the Pha Mon mountain to help renovate the buildings and library of the rural Phamohn school. The students took part in cleaning up the classrooms and teacher’s room as well as building a “green wall” made up of used Chang beer bottles for tourist attraction! Twenty coffee trees were planted from which the beans would be used to make profits for the cafe. It was a worthwhile learning experience! The club will be back again from March 17-18th.
.
Over the past few weeks, the Interact Club also volunteered at The Wildflower Home, a foundation established to support women and children fleeing from domestic violence. The students contributed by teaching and having activities with the children, painting the gates, and gardening.

We had a great time celebrating Pi Day! Pizza sales raised funds for the Earthquake Relief Fund. Elementary students explored the relationship between the circumference, diameter, and size of a circle resulting in our famous mathematical constant. In our memory challenge, one of our students had 31 digits of pi memorized. Wow! For continued fun with pi, here are some extra activities to do at home. Write your own pi-ku: Crazy pi... is... never ending!
