Kindergarten
Our Kindergarten operates as a full-day program. Students learn to work individually as well as in groups as they prepare for Grade 1. Number concepts, English letter sounds, pre-reading skills, simple printing, crafts, art work, music, physical education, library, introduction to computers, and Thai language and culture class make up the Kindergarten curriculum.

Students are taught to love learning through activities and games that stimulate problem solving and help to develop critical thinking skills. We also focus on self-esteem, feelings, respecting differences, and learning to be responsible for one's own actions. Students spend time in cooperative learning centers to maximize individualized instruction. The development of character and values is fostered through these and many other activities, helping to create the caring environment that characterizes our school community.
The Kindergarten classroom teacher is aided by a qualified assistant in order that each child may be given as much individual attention as possible. Report cards are issued every 45-day period, and formal parent conferences are held twice per year, with informal conferences scheduled as needed.
Please note that children applying for entrance to Kindergarten at CMIS should be five years old as of the first day of school.
