Our elementary standards-based curriculum is focused on learning, and provides our students with a challenging and developmentally appropriate program of studies. The program emphasizes the core subjects of Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. Students also receive instruction in Art, Music, Computers, Library, and Physical Education. In addition, our excellent Thai program offers elementary students exposure to Thai language and culture. We also provide a variety of other opportunities for development inside and outside of the classroom, and in which parent volunteers are encouraged to participate. Please view our Extracurricular Activities page for more information about the after-school options currently being offered at CMIS.

Academic progress is assessed through a variety of ongoing assessments, and is reported regularly in work sent home, notes in the student planner, and through report cards that are issued after each 45-day period. The International Schools Assessment (ISA) standardized tests are administered annually to our students in Grades 3 and 5 to assess their individual progress and the school's curriculum..
